Pie di Pollo, Funghi e Pancetta ( Chicken, Mushrooms and Bacon Pie)



Ingredienti:
125 gr di pancetta tagliata

1 spicchio d'aglio
125 gr funghi champignon tagliati
250 gr filetto di pollo tagliato in sriscioline da 2,5 cm
25 gr farina
15 gr burro
300 ml brodo caldo di pollo
1 confezione di pasta sfoglia

Tagliare il pollo e cospargelo di farina.
In una pentola mettere l'aglio, la pancetta e i funghi e far cuocere per 10 minuti; quindi aggiungere il burro e il pollo. Mescolare di tanto in tanto fin quando il pollo non prende colore.
Nel frattemo con l'aiuto di un coppa pasta ritagliare dei rotondi di pasta sfoglia.
Adagiare il composto di pollo nelle cocotte e coprire con i dischi.
Spennellare la superficie e i bordi con un uovo sbattuto.
Cuocere in forno a 180°C per 15 minuti


English Version
Ingredients:

3 raschers bacon cut into strips

1 tsp garlic
125 gr chestnut mushrooms, sliced
250 gr chicken fillet cut into 2,5 cm pieces
25 gr flour
15 gr butter
300 ml hot chicken stock
1 sheet of puff pastry

In a pan with some garlic oil put cut bacon and mushrooms.
Turn the chicken strips into the flour.
Add butter to the mushroom mixture and than chicken.
Stir until chicken begins to colour
Pour the hot stock, and stir to form a sauce.
Let this bubble for 5 minutes.
Pour the minture into cocotte and cover with circles of puff pastry.
Spread the surface and the edge with a beaten egg and bake for 15 minutes at 180°C

  6. These look very good - we would love these in our house. We have a penchant for buying Charlie Brigham pies from Waitrose but these look better :)
